After years of securing millions of dollars in revenue for Fortune 500 companies, Bernadette Pannier left the corporate world without a plan (you’ll find out why later in this post). She started a business dedicated to helping businesses and business owners use social media platforms to build their client base and revenue. The courage Bernadette had to step away from the safety of a corporate job and take the reins of her career in her own hands makes her a truly Wild Web Woman. Enjoy her interview!
Meet Bernadette Pannier!
What inspired you to launch a web-based business? I knew in 2019 the future was selling on social media. I was and still am so excited to create a plan to create great content to grow any business with a few simple steps. I also know that selling online isn’t just selling. It is so much more. It is about engagement, confidence, accountability, attracting the right people and then converting those people into clients.
What do you love most about having your own business? I love the flexibility. I love that I can work from anywhere, I can provide an income for my family and make an impact on the world one client at a time.
What is the most challenging about running a business? It’s not easy, people think that owning your own business is so much easier than owning your business. But it is NOT. I work harder and longer to make this successful. I have to always be changing, always becoming better and making sure I am providing the best education to my clients.
What are some of your proudest accomplishments? I take risks every day. If something doesn’t work I have to change it. If I need to learn something new I do. I also have to be bold! And that is hard most days.
What are some professional risks you’ve taken that led to positive outcomes? In February of 2020, I quit my corporate job. My husband had been diagnosed with cancer. It was very scary. The company I worked with didn’t care. And on several occasions wanted to point out my fails and missed deadlines and metrics then ask me how they could support me. So, I chose to quit without a plan or client in place. I went out. Found clients and started my company just like that!
Where’s your favorite place to get work done? I love working from my home studio. But truly every time I can get to the beach and work I make that happen.
Name three web tools you can’t live without.
Do you have any professional role models? If so, who? I have so many women that have helped me.
Are you part of any mastermind or networking groups? If so, which ones?

How do you unplug from work? I love taking a walk with the dog and, when he can, my husband. We walk 2-4 miles depending on the day. But I love doing it.
What is a quote you live by? “Luck is not a business plan.” – Anthony Bourdain
Business-wise, where do you see yourself in 10 years? In 10 years I see myself running a multi-million dollar company, employing women all over the world and, best of all, enjoying my life with my husband.
